Lucile Plaza, Executive Chef
Growing up in the suburbs of East Paris, Chef Lucile Plaza found inspiration in the cuisines and cultures of her dual French and Spanish heritage. Plaza began pursuing her formal culinary education at age 15 at Ecole Hôtelière de PARIS – CFA Médéric, before working her way through Paris’ Michelin-starred kitchens.
She moved to New York City to join the team at world-renowned Chef Alain Ducasse’s Benoit, prior to joining Le Coq Rico in 2018. Now as the restaurant’s Executive Chef, Plaza is honoring the cuisine she loves by creating thoughtful French fare with seasonality and bold, unexpected flavors in mind.
